Since 1988, FDC Graphic Films, Inc. has been a converter and distributor of pressure-sensitive vinyl films, digital media, overlaminates, banners, and heat transfer films primarily for the sign and graphics industry. They market and distribute products from leading brands such as 3M™, Lumina® by FDC, ASLAN, and RTape to sign makers, printers, and graphics providers across the U.S. and Canada.

Challenges & Objectives

• FDC Graphic Films wanted new branding that would give them a more modern, professional look. Their needs included developing a new logo, creating sales materials, naming options for new product lines, sales kits, and product film and color selector guides.

• FDC Graphic Films required branding that was more visually indicative of their offerings, colorful, and contemporary.

Solutions & Results

• After consultation, FDC was provided a choice of logos, all of which included graphic elements indicative of film (shown below).

• Designs for sales materials included splashes of color against more neutral, warm backgrounds. Other product lines emphasized color by using black or white backgrounds for contrast. In summary, their vast array of color film offerings was a primary focus of their new branding.

• FDC emphasized the positive reception of their new marketing materials by both their sales team and customers. They expressed excitement about how the new film and color selector guides provide a straightforward and visually appealing presentation of their extensive product range. FDC stated that their industry-specific marketing brochure set a new standard for marketing materials, which Fortune 500 companies emulate, leading to a 20% increase in revenue growth. They also saw a 60,000-square-foot expansion to their existing 38,000-square-foot facility.
