Wear to Win® is a women’s golf apparel brand founded by mother-daughter duo Cindy and Laura Ormson. Leveraging Laura’s competitive experience as a former collegiate golfer at Wake Forest University and Cindy’s design expertise, they created a line that merges performance with elegance. Their clothing line offers functional yet glamorous golf attire, including skorts, shirts, jackets, and accessories, that meet the needs of athletic and active women. Their mission is to inspire women to embrace their passion for golf confidently, encapsulated in the philosophy “Play Fiercely, Live Beautifully.” Wear to Win has been featured at the PGA Tour in Orlando, with its attire worn by top amateur and professional golfers in tournaments, including the U.S. Girls’ Championship, the Futures Tour, and the U.S. Women’s Open.

Challenges & Objectives

• Wear to Win faced two main marketing challenges: establishing brand recognition and premium positioning, and overcoming a limited sales infrastructure. The company aimed to communicate a “functional yet glamorous” vision for women’s golfwear and visually differentiate their apparel from competitors in the specialized golfwear market. Doing so would allow them to justify a premium price point and build a consistent, memorable brand identity.

• The key objectives for the company centered on creating a scalable, professional, direct-to-consumer sales model. The primary goal was to launch a new e-commerce website as an efficient platform for national reach and direct revenue generation. Additionally, they needed compelling visual assets to drive both online purchases and to support conversations with wholesale partners, such as golf pro shops. Ultimately, they aimed to unify all elements into an engaging brand and a consistent customer experience to boost overall sales performance.

The creation of a comprehensive suite of marketing materials provided Wear to Win with solutions to their core challenges, leading to several measurable results across brand perception and revenue generation.

• The launch of a new e-commerce website, along with a professional model photo shoot, provided a sales channel with a compelling visual presentation of their golfwear.
